CFM-PYR-T1

Products from fabric remnants: Milled fibres (without epoxy resin)

Carbon fibres which are gained by a pyrolysis (at 450 - 500°C) of fabric remnants. After pyrolysis the material contains more than 92 % carbon fibres (remaining material: pyrolytic coke). After pyrolysis the strength of the fibres remains on a high value. A very constant quality is ensured due to homogeneous source materials. Milled with 0,5 - 0,75 - 1,0 or 2,0 mm sieve.

Physical properties:
HTS-fibres: tensile strength: 3950 MPa,
tensile modulus of elasticity: 238 GPa
Other fibre types are also possible
Density of the fibres: 1.78 g/cm³
Bulk density: approx. 0.25 g/cm³

Chemical properties:
Chemically neutral due to pyrolization of the
organic constituents of the prepregs
Water-insoluble, insignificant moisture absorption

Packaging:
Sort of packing: 60 l -plastic-container (returnable)
(or 20 kg plastic bag)
Filling weight: 10 kg
Delivery: pallet with 12 containers = 120 kg
